Chiefs are unbeaten no longer after a nightmare in Seattle

Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season will definitely be one that Chiefs Kingdom will want to forget, quickly, and never, ever remember from here to eternity. What was supposed to be a test, but not necessarily a mismatch, against a 3-3 Seahawks team, that while is the defending World Champions, and has had a shaky start to the start of the still young 2026 campaign, was never even close from the opening kickoff. With the entire world watching, the Chiefs laid an egg the size of Gibraltar Sunday night in the Emerald City, and showed the team what could happen if someone was able to coral Kenneth Walker III, which the Seahawks did to a T.
Walker was held to his worst outing of the season, being held to just 36 yds. on 14 carries, and Patrick Mahomes also had one of the worst games of his career going 19-33 for 165 yds. and an INT to boot. Add in 2 Harrison Butker FG’s, and a defense that simply could not get off the field all night giving up conversions to the Seahawks on 11 of 16 3rd down attempts, many of which were 3rd and long, with 2 perfect deep balls from Sam Darnold to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, one for a TD, and it was a recipe for the worst Chiefs loss since Christmas of the 2023 season at the hands of the Raiders.
Silver lining to that loss on Xmas Day, we went on a historic run after that game in route to winning our second straight Super Bowl. Hopefully this squad can take a page from that team and get some things straightened out moving forward.

For the Chiefs, things don’t get any easier this week as the team will head to Mile High Stadium and a rematch with the Broncos from week 1 to start the season. The Chiefs absolutely embarrassed the Donkeys 31-10 at Arrowhead. But, Denver has been playing better football as of late, winning 5 of 6 since they last faced the Chiefs, including a win against the Seahawks who made the Chiefs look like a college team on Sunday. Denver’s offense has begun to show signs of life, and the Broncos will most certainly be looking to prove that week 1 was a fluke, and that they belong in conversations about the fate of the AFC West and the overall AFC playoff picture.
For the Chiefs, questions need to be answered at wide receiver, most notably in my opinion, why is Cyrus Allen not getting more snaps??? Allen was only on the field for 16 snaps, compared to Jalen Royals 36, and Andrew Armstrong’s 31. Despite gaining more yards on his lone reception of 18 yards than almost every other receiver on the team. Worthy, Royals, Armstrong, and Watson combined for 19 yards on 5 collective receptions. Allen has been the only pass catcher on this team that has shown any ability to consistently get open against man coverage and to not drop balls when they hit his hands. But, as usual, Andy Reid seems dead set on leaving a more talented player on the sidelines and watching his WR’s on the field meddle in ineffectiveness.
Beyond the WR room, the Tackle situation and pass rush continue to raise doubts the further into the season we get. Averaging barely one sack per game, and now playing with a backup RT are presenting more issues the team must address before the Nov. 11 trade deadline, with just under 2 million dollars in cap space to work with. If some of these issues aren’t alleviated, our QB1 may soon start to lose patience.
